The design of the secondary metallurgical unit is aimed at optimizing the metallurgical process and Metech STG compact furnace gantry reduces to the minimum vibrations originated in the electromagnetic oscillating circuit; the sturdy construction of the electrode masts and their roller guiding system allow high speed regulation. The electrode conducting arms of the LF water cooled roof ensure a very reduced pitch circle diameter.
Metech STG secondary metallurgy is supported by process automation. Computers suggest electrical heating models, processed to improve continuous caster capability. They calculate temperature losses during treatment, time management, alloys feeding and check operational events. Sampling and temperature control are carried out by the automatic system, according to the strictest safety regulations.
